Advancing Aberystwyth hate open discussion.

Delete, block or ban any negative comments, is that really the way to gain support for your campaign ?

For years Advancing Aberystwyth have been censoring their pages, ensuring only positive comments are seen, even hard to answer questions have been deleted and if the poster questions it, they will find themselves blocked or banned from the page.

If you have nothing to hide, on any page on any platform, open debate can be a positive for your campaign, spin the negative to a positive for your campaign in a constructive way.

Constantly removing these comments can ultimately be your downfall, maybe lessons can be learnt for any future campaign.

For the record, Advancing Aberystwyth have been blocked from this page as I had previously been banned from theirs and whilst it took sometime to issue the ban, their comments were bringing nothing to any debate and constantly failed to back up their claims and refused to lift my ban on their pages.

We can conclude that the BID rules of social media as applied by Advancing Aberystwyth:

(1) If you don't like what you are reading, delete it.

(2) If you can't win the argument, delete it.

(3) If you don't have an answer, delete it.

But comments that are neither abusive or containing false facts are deleted too !! If Advancing Aberystwyth had got off their high horse, toned down the arrogance a few years ago, and engaged with the levy payers, surely a Yes win would be a fore gone conclusion !!
