"Ballot Rigging" by Advancing Aberystwyth (Proof Part 3)
This next form of ballot rigging really does show how disengaged Advancing Aberystwyth are with the businesses of the Town that are funding them and have made no effort over the past five years to ensure they are familiar with ALL levy payers.
We all know that major multi Nationals can be operated in the form of a franchise, McDonalds included and we also have a few in Town, including Spar Stores.
The one we will talk about here is Specsavers, the franchise is operated by Graham who lives locally in Aberystwyth and has done so for over 15 years and had Advancing Aberystwyth engaged with him they would know this.
The principle address on the ballot list is the store in Great Darkgate St, with the landlord as the next contact, these were provided to Advancing Aberystwyth when they were amending addresses for "Alternative" delivery addresses for the ballot paper, as requested by voters.
Why then did Advancing Aberystwyth amend the address to the Specsaver Head Office in Croyden ?
This was NOT requested by Graham, NOT an address provided by the Council, and NOT the address that the business rates or Advancing Aberystwyth invoices are sent to.
Graham will not get to vote in the ballot as it has been too late to realise that he is not getting a ballot paper. In five years ALL invoices have arrived at the shop so why should he think any different. The shop has been open throughout the pandemic, so no reason to send it to his home address or any other address.
Yet Advancing Aberystwyth took it upon themselves to change the address and deny Graham a vote in the ballot. The County Council are aware of this and the Chief Executive this week deems the ballot acceptable despite this example and others, given to him in detail.
This is clear BALLOT RIGGING, it is ILLEGAL and those involved should be held accountable for purposely denying a business the right to a vote.
If they get in, hopefully not, but I am sure Graham's invoice for 6 months in advance will find it's way to the store in Aberystwyth and will most definitely not be forwarded to Head Office.
Ceredigion County Council are in breach of BID Legislation, they are fully aware of this and should declare the ballot result, whether it is a Yes or a NO, void, as this whole process has neither been fair or democratic.
So over to Eifion Evans, Chief Exec of CCC, "You are aware of the ballot rigging that has taken place, what are you going to do about it ?"
