Minehead BID wrongly claiming credit.

If these 'key activities' being flagged weren't paid for by the BID (and could easily have been delivered without a BID), as a levy payer ask yourself what are the real key activities BID is spending your hard earned cash on?

Does the BID lack key activities of its own it can talk about?

Surely after 3.5 years and c£400,000 taken from the pockets of Minehead's businesses, it should have more to show for the money it's spent rather than shout about projects it's not funded? Don't think street bunting in the summer cuts it really.

Also, as custodians of the ETCRF money, has the BID delivered value for money for Minehead residents by taking 10% from it for administrative charges? Wonder what the administrative charges are for the Taunton, Wellington and Watchet ETCRF funds spent?

Just to clarify, we are not making any allegations of, stating or implying any illegal behaviour by the BID or BID Manager, we appreciate any payments to the BID Manager will be legitimate and all above board. We are raising awareness of how Minehead's ETCRF money was spent and asking the question whether the budgeted £10,000 taken by the BID in administrative fees is appropriate and value for money.
